So the long rumoured budget iPhone is launched and the verdict is out. I have followed tech blogs, publications, reviewers and pretty saw everything there is to know about this phone so I will make it easy for you guys. I will list 10 reasons why the iPhone SE in 2020 gives you the complete iPhone for your money.
One
That price point. A first hand 399$ iPhone in 2020 is like a dream. Heck I remember paying 350£ upfront over one year contacts of 40£ per month for the first iPhone back in 2007 and currently the starting price for a current gen iPhone is 729£ here in the UK. So, given the ever rising price, getting a complete iPhone for 399$ or 419£ is amazing.
Two
The A13 Bionic chip. This is the same chip which is in the 729£ iPhone 11 and the expensive 1049£ iPhone 11 Pro series of phone. So someone paying about 1500£ for a maxed out 11 Pro iPhone will have the same processor as the 399$ SE. And that chip is a serious performer paired with 3GB of RAM, this iPhone SE should easily last you for years. I mean maybe the battery will need replacing after few years but your phone will be supported by iOS updates for at least the next 5 years.

iOS 13… this phone gets full blown iOS 13 out of the box. So all that iOS goodness like swipe keyboard, dark mode, camera customisation, etc. are fully available on this phone as well.
Four
TouchID, Apple’s best and secure authentication system. And with the way things are going in this world, Face ID is really not going work when your face is covered by a mask. So TouchId is going to be perfect for this pandemic.

The cameras.. the rear is a decent wide angle 12MP shooter with portrait mode and optional image stabilisation. The front is a 7MP shooter again with portrait mode and seeing the images which this phone produces, they are not as amazing as the 11 series but they are not that far behind.

Video recording .. 4K 60fps video recording with the rear camera and we are still taking about a 399$ phone ya. This is just amazing and thank you Apple for not cutting corners here. The front one also settles for a decent 1080p recording at 30fps.
Seven
The phone is IP67 certified dust, water and splash resistant. I am very glad that Apple kept this feature as it is really a must in 2020.
Eight
Wireless charging, again this is one very useful feature and most other manufacturers making a budget phone skimp on this one but glad that Apple has kept this. And it doesn’t just stop here, fast charging has been added into the mix as well. I do suggest everyone to spend an extra 48£ and buy a fast charger as shorter charge cycles means battery longevity.
Nine
That LCD screen . I acknowledge that this is no oLED but they way Apple configures their LCD Screens is simply brilliant. The SE screen doesn’t get as bright as the 11 Pro series but with the same pixel density at 326ppi as the 11 series, you get bright colours and good saturation levels.
Ten
Smaller things like that red colour. Good to see this upon launch and not added later on as a special edition, it could just be personal preference but that hot-rod red colour with black face rally looks cool. (Don’t trust me then ask Iron Man). Another thing is that all the 3 colours, white back and red have full black front faces. And the really makes the phone look more modern and in line with the 11 series. When the screen is off, the phone looks like one seamless panel in black from the front.
And just one small thing, the base storage is 64GB which is a good thing and Apple did not cut it down to 32GB like it did with its entry level iPad. But as a cool bonus, only 50$ more gives you double storage option at 128GB and if you can stretch your budget a bit, that would be a very good option to consider.
So there you go guys , my 10 reasons for buying the iPhone SE . You really do get a complete iPhone for the Budget price and more importantly none of the essential features are sacrificed to keep the costs down. That makes this all the more attractive in 2020 where phones are pushing over the 1000$ mark.
